Traveler's Information

We are so excited to know that so many friends and family are taking time to come and celebrate with us. We've been busy planning a weekend full of fun events. Most activities will be held in and around the Dana Point Harbor in California, near our hometown of San Clemente. Please feel free to browse the information below to help plan your visit.

Getting There & Away
The closest airport is John Wayne Airport (SNA), which has most major carriers, although Los Angeles (LAX) and San Diego (SAN) have been known to have lower fares. (*Airline tip straight from the source (Grace) - when you purchase your ticket, make sure you have an assigned seat, this is the only way to ensure you won't be bumped off of an oversold flight.) The train is also an option for in-state travelers, or those planning to see other cities in this great state!

Accommodations

- Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort: fancy shmancy!

- Dana Point Marina Inn: right in the harbor and we already have a block of rooms reserved

- Doheny Beach State Park: camping grounds on the beach next to the harbor
Sights & Activities
- San Clemente Pier: not too much to do, but a classic local hang-out

- Laguna Beach Boardwalk: art galleries, bars and restaurants, and hippies

- San Juan Capistrano Mission: fun to later replicate out of sugar cubes

- Dana Point Kayaking: get to know the harbor and coastline up close and personal (wet suit suggested for beginners)

- Catalina Island: really take to the sea and have some one else do the paddling, a great day trip

- Crystal Cove State Park: scuba diving and horse back riding available at this beautiful park (we do not recommend riding horses with scuba gear on)

- Disneyland: may we suggest a Monte Cristo in the Blue Bayou (ask the pirates)

- Natural History Museum of L.A.: dinosaur bones!

- San Diego Zoo/Wild Animal Park: the closest you'll get to a group of monkeys until the wedding

- Old Town San Diego & Balboa Park: great places to spend the day soaking up the sun in S.D.

- J. Paul Getty Museum: the fortress of culture and art in Los Angeles
Delicious Restaurants
- Olamendi's: comida mexicana deliciosa

- The Ramos House Cafe: one of our absolute favorites

- Las Brisas: go for the view, stay for the seafood

- Pizza Port: good grub, great crowd

- Ichibiri's: too busy making bomb sushi to make a website, it's in San Clemente, 949.361.0137

- Villa Roma: too busy making bomb empanadas and steaks to make a website, it's in Laguna Niguel, 949.454.8585
